Testimony / Biography

I trusted in Christ at the age of 17, and until then, I lived a sad life immersed in alcohol, seeking to fill the emptiness in me.

God has been very patient with me. He worked in my life for many years. His Word was constantly taught to me by my pastor and a family of missionaries.

MINISTRY CALLING:

After God saved me, I started serving him in the country of Peru. Not long after, God started opening doors for me to serve. As I walked through each ministry door that He allowed me to minister in, God began to show me the need and called me to preach His Word to those that have not heard.

MINISTRY EXPERIENCE

  • In 2009, our family had the opportunity to help missionary Chris Gardner start Omega Baptist Church in Arequipa, Peru.
  • I was privileged to work in the leadership of this church plant. I served as the treasurer.
  • In 2014, we decided to leave our whole life in Peru, family, friends, and comforts to come to the USA and learn more about the ministry under the teaching of Pastor Austin Gardner.
  • In 2015, God opened a door in the Hispanic ministry of Vision Baptist Church, and I served as pastor there until June 2022.
  • We have seen the Lord work with power in the lives of individuals and families who have trusted Christ. Parents and children were baptized, and God continues to work in a great and mighty way. He is good, faithful, and powerful.

NOW:

We are beginning an adventure that is even more exciting. We have started Iglesia Bautista Libertad/Liberty Baptist Church. We desire to honor and glorify God with this new work. In our first service, we had more than 50 people. We trust that God will give us growth, both spiritually and numerically.

Glory to God! We already support a missionary through our church because our goal is to not only share the Gospel here in the city of Atlanta but also to send missionaries around the world. We currently have three students who are preparing for the ministry full-time. There are already other young people still in school who have been called to the ministry.

The Soncco Family - Project

THE NEED

  • We are currently looking for a place to meet with our church. So far, we have met in different members' homes, which has limited us to about 50 in attendance.

  • We are looking to rent a place for now, and everyone is very excited, working hard, giving, and praying that God allows us to have a place where we can preach the Word of God and prepare men and women to take the Gospel to the whole world.

  • We will also need the resources to use the place we will rent to function as a church, such as chairs, a computer, microphones, a projector, etc.

  • Would you please consider what God would have you give for a work of this magnitude? He is already working here. We cannot wait to see what God will do in the future.
