Man up and lead your family
In going to Hebron, it is evident that David was the leader in the family. He did not ask his family if they wanted to go along; he simply took them. This is the way God intends things to be in the family. Such leadership, of course, does not go over well in our age which is challenging the Biblical place of men in society. Feminist groups would protest loudly at this action. They would have the “career” of the wife determine things, too. But the Bible makes it clear that the “career” of the wife is to follow her husband!
