What an opportunity to learn of His grace

Genesis 4:25 And Adam knew his wife again; and she bare a son, and called his name Seth: For God, said she, hath appointed me another seed instead of Abel, whom Cain slew.

Adam and Eve should be dead now! They sinned, but in their darkest moment, the Lord arrived with grace and good news. He told them that the lamb would die and that they would live. He promised the woman. One day, your seed will stomp the head of the serpent’s seed.

God promised victory out of defeat. From that promise till the day, you notice Eve was expecting any of her male sons as the promised seed.

When it wasn’t Abel, she thought it might be Seth. Throughout history, godly women were looking to be the woman who would see that promise fulfilled. It would be over 4,000 years, but one day an angel told Mary it would be her.

She would give birth to God in human flesh. God blessed Mary, allowing her to give birth to the promised seed.

In one moment, a woman had lost everything for the entire human race. God, in His grace, gave the woman her dignity back. He gave her the promise of life and the promise that she would be the mother of the Seed, Jesus, one day.

What a Savior we have! What an opportunity to learn of His grace.
