Samson was a he-man with a she-weakness.

Enjoy the quotes from today

In my pastoral experience, I have seen homes, Sunday school classes, and whole churches weakened and (in some cases) destroyed by Christians who will not forgive one another. Even if the other party does not forgive you, you forgive him. You cannot force him to be forgiving, but you can see to it that Satan is defeated in your own life.

 Warren W. Wiersbe,
The Strategy of Satan: How to Detect and Defeat Him (Wheaton, IL: Tyndale House Publishers, 1996), 112.

What’s clear immediately is that God permits all sorts of things he doesn’t approve of. He allows others to do what he would never do.

Have cruel or careless people broken your heart or stolen your dreams? By the time their sin splashed onto your life, it was the will of God for you—the God who loves you intensely and who will call them to account.

When God Weeps: Why Our Sufferings Matter to the Almighty (Grand Rapids, MI: Zondervan, 2010).

Learning how to speak doesn’t start with the mouth; it starts with the mind. Years ago in a class at Dallas Theological Seminary, Dr. Haddon Robinson made this profound statement: “Learning how to speak is learning how to think. If you think clearly, you will speak clearly.”

A. W. Tozer was noted for his observation, “It is doubtful whether God can bless a man greatly until He has hurt him deeply.”
