Most Hated Verse in the Bible

To reject the creation is to deny the Cross, which is to deny Christ

Genesis 1:1 In the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth.

If there is a creator, he has authority. If he made me, then I answer to him, I belong to him, and he can do with me as he pleases. In a society that utterly rejects authority, it is no wonder that the creation denies the Creator.

I think the most hated verse in the Bible is Genesis 1:1. To admit a Creator spoke the world into existence is to acknowledge that there will be a judgment. If there is no God, no Creator, there is no one to determine right and wrong.

There is no need for a Christmas miracle or Savior if there is no right and wrong. If there is no Creation, there is no need for the Cross of Jesus Christ.

Many Christians have given up on the most important verse in the Bible. We have given evolutionary scientists the benefit of the doubt. They have rejected a literal creation and used it as a story for how things began.

Romans 1 tells us the reason unbelievers reject the creation. Humanity knew the Creator. People knew there was a creation but didn't like to think about it. They did what they wanted and not what God commanded. They replace the truth of creation with the lie of evolution. Too many Christians do nothing to ensure their children know the truth rather than the evolution taught in state-run schools.

To reject the creation is to deny the Cross, which is to deny Christ.
