Dear friends

Thank you so much for praying for me. God is blessing in so many ways. I can’t describe the excitement we all feel at Liberty Baptist Church, Iglesia Bautista Libertad. Excellent attendance, great attitude, great spirit, and wonderfully sweet fellowship are what all feel at Libertad.

Betty and I will celebrate 49 years of marriage on August 18. We have some plans right now of traveling to Peru in September and then to Colombia in February for the wedding of a couple of friends. But today’s doctor’s visit may change those plans.

Medical Update

We went to Dr. Master for a second opinion on my cancer. He is a urologist and a surgeon. He started with urine and blood work today. Dr. Master wants an MRI and other scans. He believes that he can cut out the tumors. He said my case is different, but he deals with that often. It will be a 4 to 6-hour surgery. It will take eight weeks to recover. The only downside is that there is a 50% possibility of the cancer returning.

He wants me to continue the infusions till the surgery. The surgery could be in the next couple of months.

We left the doctor’s office very encouraged.

The people of Iglesia Bautista Libertad have gathered around us and asked God to heal me. Maybe He is in the process of answering that prayer.

I want to thank all of you. So many of you have expressed your love and prayers. We do not have words to express our thanks.

We will know more in the coming days and give the next update when we hear something.

Thank you all for all you do.

God bless

Austin and Betty

Queridos Amigos,
