Failing over and over

Learn from my mistakes

Looking back over all the years of my ministry, I see so many mistakes I have made, being too rough, too harsh with so many. I was attempting to help them grow. I can make all the excuses I want to make, but it does no good. It is only a defense method.

I have considered quitting many times over the years. I made the same mistakes over and over. Good intentions do not make up for hurting people. I fear I tried to play the Holy Spirit instead of trusting him to do his work. The Holy Spirit is working in my heart to show me I am unimportant. The work nor the ministry is about me. God is at work.

I say to all that failure is a part of our lives. Failing means it is time to quit, but not to quit on God or the ministry. It is time to quit the sin, not the Savior. It is time to learn from our failures. And do right the next time.

So we have not failed till we quit. So let’s learn the lesson and get up and go forward. My only added warning is not to waste so much time learning of your mistakes and from your mistakes.

I have taken so long, hurt many, and honestly believed I was doing right. That is how we make mistakes. We are trying to help and bless, but not wisely. We will not listen to those that would help us.

Then we pay the consequences, and they hurt. Today, learn to be more sensitive to the Holy Spirit and let him show you before you go too long into doing things the wrong way.

So fail repeatedly, but learn from your failures because you failed but are not a failure until you quit.
